Te Mata Lodge was built in the 1960s as a church youth camp. Over the years it has changed hands and directions a few times, In March 2013 it was purchased by Murray & Dorothy along with their daughter Jovana and her husband Michael. Changing hands again in 2021 it is now managed by Bevan Beattie, with Manie and Zelda often assisting with day to day duties.
